Terms of service for the 3m1 Mojave Field Lab

Welcome to the Mojave Field Lab (MFL) launch platform.

By submitting your reservation deposit through this portal, you (“Applicant” or “Member”) agree to the following terms and conditions governing space allocation at the MFL facility.

1. Nature of the Deposit

  • Reservation Security: The initial $500.00 payment processed through this website, MoonClerk (our subscription management service), and Stripe (our payment processor), constitutes a fully refundable security deposit to reserve a designated operational footprint (Astro Pod or Lab space) within Phase 1 of the Mojave Field Lab development.

  • Fully Refundable Status: This $500.00 baseline deposit remains 100% refundable to the Applicant at any point prior to the formal execution of a long-term commercial lease, for any reason, upon written request to management.

2. Vanguard Membership & Instructions

  • Onboarding Protocol: Upon successful processing of this reservation deposit, the Applicant will be formally cataloged into the MFL Member database. A partner from 3M1 will email you with basic onboarding information, including current site progress, shipping and receiving protocols, an insurance questionnaire, and next steps.

  • Documentation Delivery: Within two (2) business days of joining, management will transmit comprehensive membership instructions, site alignment parameters, optical clearance calculators, and initial plot routing diagrams directly to the Applicant's registered email address.

3. Non-Refundable Custom Sourcing & Capital Fees

  • Hardware and Ancillary Non-Refundability: If the Applicant explicitly authorizes MFL to procure specialized, non-recurring hardware, custom structural assets, or third-party proprietary manufacturing components on their behalf—including but not limited to automated structural enclosures (e.g., SkyShed or similar units), custom concrete reinforcement, or isolated pier assemblies—all such capital allocations are final.

  • Forfeiture of Custom Sunk Costs: While the baseline $500.00 reservation fee remains untouched and fully refundable, any separately invoiced, non-recurring capital expenditures spent directly on custom equipment or physical enclosures cannot be refunded or clawed back once procurement has initiated.

4. Operational Compliance & Acknowledgment

  • By checking the box and submitting a payment, you acknowledge that you are entering into a strategic developmental sandbox designed to deliver high-reliability off-grid telemetry and observation space under desert conditions. Final lease structures, network provisioning (L3VPN), and resident technical support protocols are governed entirely by the final Master Service Agreement (MSA) issued prior to the contracted operational start date.
