Each pod functions as its own micro data center, featuring dedicated mini-split AC units to eliminate thermal expansion and protect delicate optics from extreme daytime heat. Larger members in lab structures also have dedicated mini-split or compressor systems.

• Commercial Network Stack: Our facility runs on a multi-gigabit Ubiquiti routing and switching environment. The core DEMARC terminates a primary high-speed Frontier Fiber line, backed up by a roof-mounted Starlink Business array. Every client is securely isolated on their own Layer 3 Virtual Private Network (L3VPN).

• Extreme Telemetry & Weather Automation: We never guess what the desert is doing. MFL is blanketed in proprietary Firemark environmental sensors and Davis Vantage weather stations. We track hyper-local wind shear, micro-bursts, and particulate matter. If our systems detect an incoming sandstorm or severe wind event, actionable logic automatically cuts priority tickets, alerts you, and triggers our staff to secure your equipment.

• 24/7 "Smart Hands" Support: Remote operations require guaranteed physical reliability. MFL staffs a dedicated, full-time infrastructure technician on-site at the DEMARC facility. Technicians can perform work tickets, installation, shipping and receiving, calibrations, and more.

JJoin the Consortium

The Mojave Field Lab operates under a Consortium model. We are a collective of engineers, builders, and operators dedicated to creating a collaborative infrastructure sandbox. With the MFL pending construction, we are actively accepting early members for our November 2026 launch of the Astrophotography Garden—a ten-position, fully customized, and fully autonomous remote observatory service. Members can choose from a selection of pre-approved, engineered, and fabricated structures.

Phase 1: The Vanguard Tier (Spots 1–10)

To fund initial site mobilization, we are opening our Vanguard Tier to the first 10 founding members.
